The Gates of Geshur

'Just Stories?' #04

What's in the series?      Previous: The Kingdom of Geshur      Next: King David

Archaeologists have recently (2019) discovered a stele, or monumental stone, and the gateway of the city of Geshur from the 10th century BC - from the time of king David of Israel.

Geshur was a city-kingdom that formed an alliance with Israel in the time of king David. The city of Geshur lies under the mound of Et Tel, believed to be the biblical town of Bethsaida.

With Dr. Chris Sinkinson, lecturer in Old Testament and Apologetics at Moorlands college.
