Did Jesus rise from the dead? Can we know about history so long ago? 'After Life?' #3
What's in the series? Previous: Science: impossible? Next: Later legends?
Something very unusual certainly happened in the Middle East two thousand years ago – something that gave birth to the largest spiritual movement the world has ever seen.
The central claim of Christianity is that Jesus rose from the dead. His tomb was empty, and his followers encountered him alive again after his death.
Richard Dawkins says that
'Accounts of Jesus' resurrection and ascension are about as well-documented as Jack and the Beanstalk.'
Is this a fair comment? Can we really know what happened two thousand years ago?
This video is part three of the series 'After Life?' - the most up to date and convincing evidence for the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
With contributions by Professor William Lane Craig, Professor Gary Habermas, Professor Mike Licona, Amy Orr-Ewing and Professor Tom Wright.
